Q.01 What is GPS asset tracking?
GPS asset tracking uses small devices fitted to vehicles, machinery, trailers and equipment to report their live location to one platform. With Trakkrr, the tracker also carries telemetry - hours, fuel, temperatures and faults - so you see what each asset is doing, not just where it is.
Q.02 What's the difference between GPS tracking and telematics?
GPS tracking answers one question: where is the asset? Telematics adds the asset's own data - usage, condition and faults. Trakkrr does both on one platform, so a position on the map always comes with the state of the machine behind it.
Q.03 Can you track assets that don't have power?
Yes. Non-powered assets like trailers, containers, attachments and skips are tracked with long-life battery or solar devices that report for years without maintenance. They sit on the same platform as your powered assets.
Q.04 What kinds of assets can Trakkrr track?
Anything your business runs on: vans and trucks, excavators and heavy plant, agricultural machinery, generators and pumps, trailers and containers - from a single machine to a mixed fleet of hundreds, all in one register.
Q.05 Do I have to install the tracking hardware myself?
No. Trakkrr supplies, fits and supports the hardware. There's no integration project on your side - we fit the device, and the asset starts reporting into your platform.
Q.06 Does Trakkrr work for a single asset, or only full fleets?
Both. One generator or one trailer gets the same live tracking, alerts and history as a 200-vehicle fleet. You're never forced into a fleet-sized contract to track a handful of assets.
